What results apply to repetitive jobs?

How do you talk about the results you produce if you are working in a process job? A process job is one in which you repeat the same process many times. Examples are handling complaints or inquiries, processing grant applications or other types of applications.

The measures for these job can be quality and quantity measures, such as:

Quantity

  • Number and complexity handled
  • Number received
  • Responses provided
  • Deadlines met/timely completion
  • Targets met

Quality

  • Service standards (or other standards/guidelines) met
  • Feedback received
  • Recommendations accepted

When you mention your results in your resume or in selection criteria examples you can refer to examples like these:

  • Received and finalised 200 complaints covering 34 issues, all within service standards and deadlines.
  • Completed data entry for 43 complex grant applications with 100% accuracy.
  • Conducted 45 client inquiry investigations with 38 receiving phone responses and 7 receiving information packages.
  • On average, handled 350 phone inquiries each week with 95% completed within time allocation targets.
  • Consistently met/exceeded application targets.

To find out what measures apply to your work consult corporate documents such as:

  • Corporate plan
  • Annual reports
  • Business plan
  • Performance management plan

You can also talk to your boss about what performance measures they use to monitor your work.s
